backup capacities

Hi We have an HP 20/40 Dat DDS4 drive.

Can anyone shed light on the expected capacity of these tapes?

We ran over with about 22.5 Gb ast night, and I really wasn't prepared for
that!

If the software you are using does not support your drive's compression
features, then it won't matter what the compression setting is, you'll only
get 20GB on the tape..

Try contacting HP Support for an updated copy of the backup software for
your drive.
