Backup - Can't Uncheck C: (System) drive for backup

Vista Backup and Restore Center Issue:

All I want to do is to backup my D:\ drive, but Vista insists on including the C:\ drive
as well and I can't uncheck it (it is grayed out). I can check and uncheck the D:\ drive.

How can I uncheck the C:\ drive so that Vista won't include it for backup?

The system drive is always included in the backup. That's just the way it is
I'm afraid
