Backing Up Problem?

I am not sure where to ask this question hope you don't mind me posting
here.

I have a Tandberg SDLT 320 tape drive backing up everything off 4 servers
all running Win2k Advanced Server in native mode with all the latest
upgrades and service packs. I am currently using the bog standard Microsoft
Backup software that comes with win2000 server. I can backup all my data to
another hard drive okay, but when I try to backup to the tape drive It stops
with an error message saying that it couldn't back because of bad data. I
don't get this message when backing up to a hard drive so it can't be the
data, it must be something to do with writing the data to the tape. I have
downloaded the latest drivers for the tape, but no joy. The machine that has
the tape drive also has Exchange 2000 but the M drive is not selected. If I
just backup any particular folder off this machine to tape I get the same
problem, however it backs up to the spare hard drive okay. I have all the
latest drivers and Flash utilities from Tandberg. In the Event log it
says..."Thew device \Device\Tape0, has a bad block."

Anyone got any ideas as to why I can't backup to tape?

Thanks

Edd
