How to...back up Outlook Express mail.
Thanks.
.

To compact and back up e-mail folders

Select an e-mail folder.
On the File menu, point to Folder, and then click
Compact.
To back up the folder, find the folder file, and then
copy it to a backup folder, floppy disk, or network
drive. Outlook Express e-mail folders have a .dbx
extension (for example, "Sent Items.dbx").
hope this helps

More help, please.
I've backed up the folder - FILE >FOLDER >COMPACT ALL
FOLDERS. Now, can't find the folder. Maybe my search
was wrong. I used *.dbx in Drive C:\ and I can only find
the *.dbx files I have backed up previously - that I am
not sure is RIGHT. Nothing for today's date.

File-Folder-Compact all does NOT make a backup! All that does is COMPACT the
folders as it says!
That's why you can't find the backup.

You certainly SHOULD compact before you make a backup though.

Read the instructions above again to find out what you missed out.
