Backing up in Vista

Has anyone else had difficulty in using an internal SCSI tape drive for
backing up in Vista? How did you resolve the issue. Would love to hear from
you. The tape drive worked fine under XP.

I did figure out how to enable removable storage. I can see the drive in
computer manager, it even see the tapes in the drive. But try as I might, I
cannot get the included back-up software to back-up to tape. I have even in
istalled the NT Backup Restore utility.

I would love to use the features of the automated back-up in Vista to my
internal tape drive. I made a significant investment in a tape drive and
would like to use it until I can afford a 3rd party back-up program. 40gb
per tape vs 4.7gb on a DVD is more reasonable.

Why one earth would the "most advanced and secure operating system" disable
this feature. You finally get arround to making an attempt to "fix" the
back-up application, but you disable the the only thing that was working?
Wrong, Microsoft, very, very, wrong.
