backing up files

i installed the backup utility from the home edition of xp on my computer
now i am trying to back up my files all goes well u ntil i get to the page
where you deterine the source i choose drive e and then it asks me to enter
a file name i don"t know what to put in file name i have tried numerous
items and none work i always get an error message that it is invalid what
ges here please type an example of what it would look like i'm a real
novice thanx

Choose a valid drive to place the backup on. Any filename will do.
