backgrounds & style sheets

I am exploring the wonders of CSS and have a quick question:

Can (and how do) I put page background info into a style sheet? I have a
tiled watermark that I want on all my pages' backgrounds and would rather
list it in the CSS rather than on each page.

Can it be done?
