background pciture

hi! is there any way to upload pictures from a site and use it as a
background picture on powerpoint? if so, cau you also customize it? for
example having the picture faded in the background?

Do you mean downloading the pictures? Pictures you have can be used as a
background. To do so, click Format > Background.
Click on the dropdown menu, and select fill effects.

Then, select Picture, and click on "Select Picture" button.
Choose the picture you want and click ok.

Alternately, you can insert it as a picture so that you can fade the
picture. Click Insert > Picture > From File...
Choose the picture you want and click OK.
To fade in or fade out, right click on the picture and click Custom
Animation. For PowerPoint XP/2002 and above, you can use Fade in the Entrance
category(Add effect > Entrance > Fade) to fade in the picture, and fade in
the exit category(Add effect > Exit > Fade) to fade out the picture.

You can also insert the picture which is located in a server. During the
inserting, just copy and paste the url of the picture. The picture will be
embedded.
