Background colours & Print View etc

My eyes are very sensitive to glare and I find it very difficult to look at
black print on a white background so I use a Background fill of grey 25% as
standard.

How can I get this effect when I go to Print View or Edit mode? They all
use a white background and I can't change it using the Background command cos
the page just reverts back to the normal view instead of Print!

I'd really love to be able to set that as the computer default view (for
explorer, etc) but you cant and the supplied high contrast settings aren't
any good for this prob!

The paper color in Word will be the window color you set in Control Panel |
Display | Appearance. You can certainly use a grey color if you like (you
won't find it defined as 25% grey, but you can approximate the same color).
I have my window color set to ivory (R 255, G 255, B 225), and this is very
restful.

Thank you Suzanne! You can't know how great it was last night to be able to
work at the machine without sore eyes - really appreciated!

Glad I could help.
