Background Colors on Icon Titles

B

Brian

For some reason, my icons no longer have the transparent
backgrounds. Now there are little colored boxes
surrounding the icon boxes. I've went into Properties-
Appearance and so on and changed a number of things.
Even in Properties->Desktop...when I try to change the
color, there is no joy. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hi Brian,

Checkpoints:

Start/Control Panel/System/Advanced/Performance/Settings/ Visual
Effects/"Use drop shadows for icon labels on the Desktop"

Also:

Right click the desktop and select Arrange Icons by. Towards the bottom of
that list, uncheck "Lock web items on the desktop."

Kelly,

I appreciate your help. In doing both of the
recommendations below...still the shaded box around the
icon titles.

Quick question: When going to Properties->Desktop...in
the "Color" selection drop down, should there a "white
transparent" color?
