Background color

I am using a large spreadsheet (col's A-HX) that is divided into 8 unequal
categories. Is there a way that I can color the background of the
spreadsheet so that each category has it's own individual color?

hi
high light each catagory, right click the high lighted area and from the
popup select format cells>Patterns>pick your color.
you might want to set the borders of the cell also because the colored cell
may not show the grid.
