Background Color

Is there a way to paste a picture or color as a background in Windows
Explorer in XP Home?

Yes there is.........save the picture to the MyDocuments/My Pictures folder
as a jpg file.
Right click an empty spot on the
desktop...........properties.................desktop
click Browse and go to that specific picture and click it.........click open
and the picture will appear as your desktop

I believe he is asking about a background for Windows Explorer and not the
desktop.
