I thought I was smart...wrong again. All I want to do is write my word
processor documents to a CD for safety. I've got Vista, a pile of CDRWs, and
nothing on Vista's so-called 'Help and Support' to actually tell me how to do
it! I mean, I can build houses, fix your car, forge you an iron gate...but
maybe I'm just getting old. Can anyone tell me the right buttons to press?

Well I've just clicked on "Help and Support" in the Start menu and half way
down. under "featured on our website" is how to burn a CD/DVD....

I'm sure you'll get this sorted from the "Help" as above...
other times tho' - when Help just doesnt help, sometimes it's a whole
lot quicker n easier just to go get an application that specifically
does what you want - example in this case, I'v yet to come across
anything that makes cd/dvd burning easier than ashampoo Burning
Studio, but of course that might be overkill for this, if you only
need it for the occasional doc backup,
other thought is to partition your H'drive, and have a partition set
aside for storing items you want to save, and have them elsewhere
other than "C" - in case you ever need to format/reinstall Vista(and
lose all on C drive) - another partition will be uneffected by those
kinda things, but ~ doesnt hurt to have that extra backup on cd/dvd as
well... u just never know what's gonna come along tomorrow.
