When I back up my quickbooks to cdrw on Windows ME I can
not restore the data to quickbooks on my Windows XP
computer. When I load the cdrw on to my XP computer the
cdrw is blank. The back up data is definitely on the cdrw.
I even read it on another home computer.

Just to expand upon the answer you got - you saved the data onto a cd-rw
which was formatted in a special way. You don't have the same cd-rw
formatting program on the XP machine, so the XP box can't read the
cd-rw. The best thing to do is save the data on a cd-*r*, which doesn't
use special formatting.
