Just burn them to a cd-rom using XP's own same function.
-----Original Message-----
My kids have so many songs saved on the computer because
they download them to their IPODS but its taking so much
space on the computer. I went to save it to a zip disk
but the only thing that saved was the names of the
songs. Is there any way to say them to a zip? We have
all the cds but it would be easier if we had it on one
disk...any suggestions? Thanks

"Just burn them to a cd-rom using XP's own same function"

why would she want to do that? she already stated she has
the songs on cd!
don

Then why download them to an IPOD, if you already have the
CD's???

Think about it, a standard CD is produced holding 15 songs
or less, an 80 min cd can hold 20-22 of your favorite
tracks, SO rather than listening to the ones you don't like
along with the ones you do, just burn the ones you like!

Yes I know an IPOD can hold LOADS of songs, not the point
in this discussion!

because they would be burned as MP3's, and because they asked. And maybe
many of them are downloaded and not from CD's? Or from borrowed CD's. I have
heard that such practices exist.

Because the OP asked how to back them up so drive space can be freed up. If
they're saved to CD in MP3 or whatver format they can still be reloaded to
the Ipods in case of failure or even wanting to switch the music loaded on
them.
