Back on brackets

I'm writing my thesis and i sperimented your same problems with
citations, i cannot change the round brackets and with any citation
style i get (Author, year) while i would like to have [author,year]

Please help me, i noticed that some of you could change that damned
XSL..

my edits to C:\Programmi\Microsoft Office\Office12\Bibliography\Sort
\*.XSL doesn't seem to work

i have a moderate knowledge of XSL...
