Back Colour for "Dsabled" fields

I created an entry form using 2002 microsoft default colours for all objects
on the from. I have now changed the detail section back colour. For some
reason I cannot get the colour to change on the disabled fields on the form
to match the detail section colour.

I have changed the back colour on those objects to match and have set the
back style to normal. At one time I was able to get the colours to change on
the first record of a continuous form, but subsequent records did not change
9my "Next" button does not include any formating code other than changing the
special effect on a couple of fields).

What am I dong wrong?

Thank you

Set the controls Back and Fore Colors to whatever the end result
should be.
Then ...
Set the control's Enabled property to No
AND
Set it's Locked property to Yes.
