back button help

N

Ninip

Hi everyone
I have WIN XP with IE6
A new problem has started and I don't know why or how to fix it.
I hope someone here can help.
When I click on the back button nothing happens until I click somewhere on
the open page and then on the back button.
It then changes pages.
Another problem is I keep getting on the web pages I visit near the top a
message like this page cannot be displayed.
But the page is there.
Will await your replies.
Thanks in advance.

Some web sites manipulate things so that the back button doesn't go back.
Sometimes you have to click the drop-down arrow on the Back button and
select a previous site.

Microsoft is notorious for having pages that do this.
