The HOSTS Manager is a program to maintain your HOSTS file. You will be
able to download directly the HOSTS file maintained at Bluetack, append
other HOSTS files to your existing one, replace your HOSTS file by a
new one, create a back-up and restore it, add, edit, delete entries and
much more... You can use your personal inclusions and exclusions lists.
It will not import duplicate and invalid entries. You can also check if
your HOSTS file contains invalid domains, thus invalid
entries.Downloading the Bluetack's HOSTS file through the Hosts
Manager is really easy. If the download URL changes, you will be asked
if you want to check the availability of a new download link. If you
get any error messages during the download, please take the time to
write them down.

Doesn't work for me on WinME. It loaded my HOSTS file OK(26092 lines),
but crashed when I tried to merge BISS's own host file. Error - Cannot
insert line. Had to C-A-D to close it. Thought that maybe I should have
rebooted after install, so rebooted PC and tried again. Same error.
Uninstalled.

Win98SE Same error message. Pity, looks useful.

The Hosts Manager works on Windows XP and Windows 2000. It should work
on Windows 98 too, although I never tested it on that OS.

Worked on '98 but is one of those annoying programs that install to
the C: drive without giving you any option to change it. Seems to work
OK but I removed it as I have another Hosts Manager that checks for an
update every fifteen days but doe not get stroppy if you don't let it.
Much simpler. If I need to examine the content of the HOSTS file I use
a program called Hostess.
