avoid automatic hyperlink creation when entering an e-mail address

Hi Cracks,

thought I'm a crack too - until I could not solve the following job:

How can I avoid automatic hyperlink creation when entering an
e-mail address in EXCEL 2000 ?

Martin,

Put an apostrophe at the beginning of the line and it won't
automatically create a hyperlink.

The only thing I can come up with is, click on the hyperlink (which may be
in blue), then click the hyperlink icon on the toolbar. This will bring up
a dialog box. At the bottom of the box it says "remove hyperlink". If you
click on it, it deactivate the link and you are just left with the address.
