Is there a way to globally tell powerpoint when you move your movies
to another folder. When i do it now the movies stop playing in
powerpoint

Not really I'm afraid. the best solution is to place the video in
presentation folder (assuing you named and saved the presentation) before
inserting the videos. When you move the presentation, move all the contents
of the folder with it.

There is a powerpoint addin called fixlinks that fixes the links on a per
presentation basis

But I don't think it does it globally across all your presentations, and it
certainly does not *tell* powerpoint that everything has changed.

TAJ is right, Kenny. FixLinks won't do batches of presentations. That's on
the to-do list but hasn't yet been to-done.

But let me ask this:

Do you have lots of presentations in various folders that link to a single set
of movies in one folder or do you have something more like:

Presentation A, links to
Movie A1
Movie A2

Presentation B, links to
Movie B1
Movie B2
