.avi video in powerpoint 2003

hi, i was trying to do a presentation with a .avi video. it works on my
computer, but in the classroom it gives me an error about not being able to
find the "vids:mjpg decompressor" i have no idea how to fix that. it isnt
just my computer that it works on either. it works on several other
computers. does anybody know where to find this decompressor or how to fix
this? thanks for your help. isak

Check the tip near the bottom of the page at
http://www.powerpointbackgrounds.com/powerpointtips.htm (Just rename the AVI
with an MPEG extension instead.)

mjpg is a codec you cant just rename this one... sometimes that works with
vids:dvsd issues
a free demo mjpg codec www.morgan-multimedia.com
there are alot of others , do a google search
download mjpg codec

If the avi clip came from a digital camera. I've had 100% success rate with any video clip that gave the "vids:mjpg"
error in powerpoint, by following this

I've not had any success with a rename with the "vids:dvsd". (digital video from a DV camera)
