Hi all

I am trying to insert an AVI film into one form and it reacts with rejection
notice .

This AVI file was produced in a CANNON digital camera .

What is wrong what could be done ?

Should I convert that AVI to other video format ?

Thanks
EC

..avi is a very generic term that basically means uncompressed video. It can
be formatted to many codecs, not all of which are going to work with
PowerPoint. I would recommend converting to a more compressed format (at
10MB .avi should go down to a 1MB .wmv with the same quality). If you do not
have software, but a good internet connection, try a service like:
www.zamzar.com to convert your movie. I recommend .wmv (windows media
video).

Usually you cannot change the file type by renaming a file. But some cameras
assign the wrong extension to their files. So you could try to rename the
AVI file to MPG.

You might want to look at PFCPro. It will allow you to do the conversion
and video editing all directly in PowerPoint. www.playsforcertain.com It
comes as a fully functioning two week trial so it won't cost you a thing to
try it.
