I have a .mov file that I converted to an avi file. I placed in the first
slide and selected auto start. The clip plays in the preview, but when I run
the show, it won't play? I have followed everything in the Help section and
it still won't work.....any suggestions?

Probably the path is too long.
Try creating a test folder in C:\.
Move the video and ppt to the the folder.
Open the ppt, delete the video.
Now, re-insert the video again and see if it works this time round.

Just the media file or PP or both?
Just an fyi, I have 4 clips and I can't get any of them to work

I received and tried the file and it plays fine. Nothing out of the
ordinary that I can see. I suspect you installed some media software that
is causing a conflict. I think the first thing I would do is download
Windows Media Player and re-install it to straighten it out.

I'm confused, it plays in the PowerPoint just fine or in Media Player, I just
downloaded Media Player 10 this afternoon.

I guess it was something with that presentation b/c I created a new one and
it worked just fine.....
