Run the AVG Control center then the click E-mail Scanner and then the
Properties button. Now click Configure and uncheck Certify mail.

DB,

I don't use AVG, but I believe the following will solve your problem;

The paperclip is because there is an attachment saying something like
No virus found in this outgoing (or ingoing) message.
Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
Version: 7.0.289 / Virus Database: 265.3.1 - Release Date: 11/15/2004

To have the certification not display in emails:
Open the AVG Control Center
Click on Email Scanner
"General" Tab
Uncheck "Display Component"

Right click the AVG icon in the tray.
Choose "Launch AVG Control Center"
Click (highlight) the E-mail Scanner panel.
Click the "properties" button at the bottom
When the new, smaller window pops up make sure
the "plug-ins" tab is in front. Then click "configure".
Uncheck the boxes for "Certify Mail".
Click OK twice then close Control Center.

That's wrong mate. If you leave "Certify mail" checked you get the paper
clip. Sanjaya's info is correct
This applies to AVG 7.0.299 Just tried it

if i knock the "with attachments " off......i still get the paperclip.......

BUT if i knock "certify" off just above it, then the paperclip isnt there
any more.....

I assume that it still checks the emails but doesnt throw up the paperclip
icon.

DB

Thanks all
