I just ran Grisoft AVG for the second time. Back in March it had found 3
worms, and tonight it found a Trojan Horse. They are all in the Virus
Vault. Should I just leave them there, or delete them from there?

If they are in the vault they won't bother anything. You can delete them
if you want I would imagine. I don't know why it is identifying files in
the vault though. I don't think that is proper.

Once your system is working normally again, feel free to delete the virus.
There is an explanation of the Virus Vault in the .pdf document (manual) you
downloaded with your AVG. Do a Windows search with "all or part of the
filename" being ".pdf" and "a word or phrase in the file" being "AVG"

Thanks, everyone. It didn't ask me what to do with them, but just put them
in the Virus Vault automatically apparently. Why would someone want to
"heal" something like a worm or trojan, rather than just delete it?

There are some reasons why a person might want to access or use a
known virus file, such as when testing a different antivirus product.

Putting the files into the Virus Vault provides for this possibility.
It is quite simple to empty the contents of the virus vault in AVG.

Good luck

Why folks save viruses I have no idea.

Some viruses infect valid system, program or document files and if they
are able to be cleanined then they won't need to be replaced.

Steve, wouldn't they then (in the Virus Vault) have the name of the file,
rather than the name of the Worm or Trojan?
