AVG Incoming - always have an "attachment"

Any way to get rid of the "paper clip" when I receive an email in Outlook?

AVG, scanning incoming mail, puts some kind of attachment to every email -
must be the blurb at the bottom.

Any way to stop this and still scan incoming emails?

Thanks

Double-click the AVG tray icon to open the Control Centre
Double-click the Email Scanner icon.
Click the Configure button.
Untick the two Certify Mail options for incoming and outgoing emails.

Thanks Kinell, but I don't have an Email Scanner Icon (I don't think). I
have the AVG free edition.

Poor wording on my part. The RHS of the Control Centre page shows a
window within which there are mini-windows for various AVG
components. Double-click the one labelled Email Scanner.

Sorry Kinnell - I don't have it. The mini-windows read AVG Resident Shield,
Internal Virus Database, Scheduler, Shell Extension, Update Manager and
Virus Vault. I can turn off the scanning of emails in the Resident Shield
properties, but can't find anything referring to any other email options.

Bryan

Suggest you reinstall AVG, seems to be messed up.
