AVG I look for info. (avgcc.exe)

Hi,
I'd like to know if I disable "avgcc.exe" at Startup Control Panel
(when I turn on my PC), will AVG antivirus work equally?
If disable avgcc.exe I don't see the icon on the Toolbar on the bottom
on the right.
I'd like to disable it because the CPU works very much when I turn on
my PC.

Let the program start up...then when the icon show in the system tray, right
click and choose the shut down option...IMHO avg is not a hog on system
resources.
