AvantBrowser vs MyIE2 vs SlimBrowser ?

AvantBrowser, MyIE2, SlimBrowser are all 3 tabbed browsers based on
IE html render engine.

Which one do you use and why do you prefer it to the two others ?

I tried them all and settled on Avant. Primarly because I like the look of
it and I was able to customize the user interface to work the way I wanted
to.

I chose MyIE2 for exactly the same reasons.

And I chose SlimBrowser...again, for the same reasons.

I tried them all but not extensively. Generally I use Avant because I
like the interface and the grouped tabs feature is more customizable
than the others. However, Avant will lock up at times when the
computer is under heavy usage. Which of the three use less resources
and has anyone tried Green Browser?

I suggest you try all 3 and see which 1 you prefer. My choice was
Avant.

I used Crazy Browser for sometime, but it has not been updated in ages.

Slimbrowser is constantly being updated. Besides that, however, I must
throw out the caveat that I *rarely* use Slimbrowser...I only have it
because there are times when I need to use IE. I prefer Firebird and
that OT adware browser that sings :)

Likewise with MyIE2. My main thing is Firebird, but I can't help looking
back to see what's going on in the IE shell department.

To be honest they're all very similar and once you get used to the quirks
of one of them, you might as well stick with it, unless you want to go
the Mozilla/Firebird route as we have. Opera I really hate.

Meanwhile I'm off to give green browser a tryout.

Is that necessarily a bad thing? Perhaps the author of CB has NOT
attended the M$'s $.o.$. ($chool of $hit, School of Software, if you
like) where you learn to program without thinking and testing
properly, release the stuff prematurely, see what happens, observe the
chaos whith a superior smile, release patches and updates at
frequencies no one can follow, see what happens, observe.... etc.

Yeah..the true question is: what are the the real differences among them
? :)

Yep, I agree with you about M$, but surely something needs to be improved
or changed in over year or so since the last revision.

The few differences I noted from my tests :

- CB : very stable but not suppported any more apparently, no tbbtyrone [OT] support
- AB : the only one with an integrated flash blocker, poor url group editing features
- SB : if you don't use any skin, the active tab is hardly noticable
