autoupdates

I have not been able to get auto updates on my windows
xp.It may have to do with administrator settings or maybe
the computer name or workgroup.I am very new at this and
I believe it is the setup that keeps me from the
autoupdate activating?Thanks for any suggestions.

wednesday evening is best time for updates because it is
day micorsoft releases updates.

Microsoft has a clue: Zonealarm can prevent access to
updates. They suggested turning off firewall and trying.
Worked for me.
