autoUpdate in windows XP

Hello

autoupdate stop working...
when manualy start update It post a message:

The security setting do not allow to Activer X to
process on this page . Security settins remain the
same; never change.

Any suggestions why this happen
 
You say that the settings didnt change? did you check
them? sometimes your settings will change due to whatever
reason.On windows update the download and scanning is
done by active x control so double check it or change it
then apply and then change it back and apply again
