Autoupdate fails to connect

Running Win2k and all internet functions work fine, but
freshly loaded Microsoft Anti-Spyware (beta) fails to auot-
update with an error saying an internet connection is not
available. This message is being typed on the "non-
available" internet connection. Unfortunately, it's a
56kb dialup, but it IS connected.

Does auto-update not have the ability to recognize a
dialup connection?

I had same problem on a T1. Downloaded the latest from
MS. Took it to v1.0.614. Now the updater works.
