Autotext entries

Alex

I have been on holiday for two weeks, and when i returned
to work, i found that all my Autotext entries have
disappeared. I have tried changing the template from 'all
active templates' to the Normal.dot "global template".
Are mt personal Autotext entries stored elsewhere, if so,
where are they.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Alex.

Autotext is stored in templates, in normal.dot by default. You may have
saved a document as normal.dot, which would zap your AutoText stored there.
You can rename normal.dot to normalold.dot (with Word closed) to regenerate
the default entries. I keep my AutoText in a separate template.

See http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm for step-by-step
instructions on moving / sharing / copying customizations including
AutoText, AutoCorrect, keyboard assignments, macros, etc.
