Autosignature changes font type/size/color in replies & forwards

We're trying to standardize our signatures at our company but we're running
into problems when replying or forwarding emails. The autosignature, which
is just formatted text (no graphics), works just fine when you create a new
email. However, when you reply to, or forward, an email, *sometimes* the
font changes (size & color).

I've tried using Stationary to force certain font types, to no avail. The
bizzare thing is, the font size the sig changes to isn't even the default
font size - default reply is 10pt, but the sig changes from 8.5pt to 12pt
(all except for one line, which goes to 10pt... another mystery!). I do
know, however, that it is SOMEHOW linked to the text for replies and forwards
(if i change the color for replies/forwards to, say, red, the color of the
sig on reply for that particular instance changes to red).

Again, what's confusing is that the signature only changes in response to
some emails, and not to others. My guess is that it has something to do with
the message originator, which then sets the tone for the whole thread. For
instance, i had a server bounce back an email as undeliverable. When I
forwarded this email the autosig was messed up. When this thread came back
to me later from USER1, and I replied, my sig messed up again the same way.
But USER1 can also send me another email, and when I reply, my autosig works
just fine, so I know it's not him.

I think that if the email is sent as plain text or rich text, no matter what
your reply format, the autosignature goes haywire. Is there anyway to fix
this? Can you force your reply to be HTML formatted, so that the signature
displays correctly?

I am having this exact same issue. I know there haven't been any posted
responses but have you found a solution elsewhere?

Unfortunately no. We're still experiencing this problem. If you do find
out, a short post to this site about how you fixed it would be great! And
I'll be sure to do the same. Thanks!
