Cracker Jacks

Does anyone use autoshapes as some graphics? If so was wondering why the way
they are seen in the browser is different that the editor. If it is not a
good idea to use autoshapes, please let me know why. Thanks.
 
Ok I see why autoshapes are not a good idea. They do not re-size with the
browser window. Is there a way to fix this? Are autoshapes useful at all in
web pages? If not why are they even in the tools?
 
One more question, is there a way to duplicate autoshape effects without
using actually using them?
