Hi I was working in Microsoft Word on a document and I
had autosave on, but for some reason when I tried to open
the doc the old version came back. Is there any way that
I can restore my changes that I had made? I am using
word xp

Hi Melissa,

There is no autosave utility in Word. I think you are confusing it with the
"Save AutoRecover info every:" item under Tools>Options>Save.

That feature allows you to recover a document in the event of an abnormal
termination of the program - like when the power goes off. If you close a
document normally, the AutoRecover information is discarded.

To save any changes that you make, YOU must save the document.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
