autorun not working!

all of a sudden the autorun of cd roms or autoplay of audio cd's does not
work. i am able to go to the "D" drive and manually open but they will not
start on their own. windows media player is set to accept all file types and
before yesterday worked fine. any suggestions?

two things:

check registry values located in the KB article:

otherwise you'll also not be able to autorun if you're not a member of the
local power users or adminsitrators group.
