autorun is not working anymore

I have a small but irritating problem.

The problem is that the auto run is not working (disks with an auto run
program, music disks to name the few).

If there something I can do to get it back.

Any help would be great.

Microsoft has a tool called AutoPlay.exe. You point it at
the drive in question and it spits out a diagnosis file.
I don't know whether it fixes it or not but I think it's
up on the downloads site for XP. Try searching for
AutoPlay. Hope this helps.

I managed to sort out the problem. I went into tweak UI and I found that the
autorun box unchecked. Once I had rechecked it my disks now autorun.

It will be TweakUI (for XP)'s My Computer - Autoplay section, that can
control the basic point of whether the drive concerned performs *any*
autoplay. The Autofix program mentioned is more comprehensive, for more
complex cases
