The fix that Yves sent to me works and to this day it
works correctly every time, thank you. My neighbor
purchased a Dell with Windows XP Home installed. The
autoplay feature worked just fine until a couple of weeks
ago when it started skipping the first few windows. When
a card reader with an xD memory chip is plugged into the
USB port, it opens directly to the DCIM folder rather at
the menu choice dialog box. This prevents the automatic
selection features like, move, copy, delete, do nothing,
etc, the opportunity to name the file and to delete the
items on the chip, and so on. I went to the web site as
suggested in your earlier reply
http://www.bigblackglasses.com/staff/downloads/autofix.exe
and saved it to her disk. When it ran it gives us a
window that states "This type of drive does not support
AutoPlay settings". Do you know what we can do to fix
this please? We have no idea what happened to change the
autoplay feature. Thank you in advance. Bill
