AutoPlay still won't appear

I run XP Home on a Toshiba laptop. AutoPlay used to work. Lately it won't
come up. I have checked all the usual suspects and run AutoFix, which found
no problems. This site helpfully pointed out that I can right click and run
it from there, which lets me use it fine - thanks, whoever posted that. But
it still doesn't come up automatically.
I tried the suggestion to remove Realsched from startup, but I haven't
rebooted yet so I don't know if that will help.

I unchecked "realsched" in msconfig and now AutoPlay does work with my memory
stick camera. Still not with the CD player, which I really don't care about.
I inserted my jump drive and AutoPlay came up - but the next time I inserted
the same drive, it didn't. As long as it works with the camera, I'm happy,
though.
AND, when I unchecked "realsched", I also unchecked billmind and office and
the computer boots SO much faster.
