Autoplay has "gone with the wind"

Hi everyone
Autoplay no longer works on my removable usb memory stick or my zip drive
(was working previously..not sure when it went off though). I've tried all
that I can find on the net, select the drive, properties and ensure the
"prompt for action" is selected. Have used the gpedit.msc to modify both
the computer configuration settings and user configuration settings to
disable "turn off autoplay" and then reset to "not configured". Have looked
at the registry settings and they look ok to me...

I've tried the Microsoft autoplay fix utility, which didn't work. I am also
using TweakUI with all drives enabled. I can't get this functionality to
work when it was working previously.

Anyone have a fix out there?

Thanks dev...I've tried all the fixes at the sites listed...still
nothing...aside from a reinstall which I don't think the problem warrants
such a "drastic" measure..have to download and reinstall all
updates...ugly...

I have SP1 installed, it was working..so I don't know where its gone
wrong...Microsoft says the fix is coming in SP2?
