respected MVPs,
i am creating a form for based on table named "MCQ Test Registration" it has
field named "RegistrationID" this is autonumber & "EventID" this is Year -A,
-B -C -D like 2008-A, 2008-B, 2008-C, 2008-D, in the form, these 2 fields are
put togather to produce unique Student like "2008-A-1001, 2008-A-1002", and
so on for first. The event id when selected should start a new numbering from
1001 for every new eventid selected from dropdown list in the form, please

respected MVPs,

And two excellent answers from a non MVP whom I've noticed before.
So there are lots of folks out there who can and do help out.

Thanks friends , but this does not help me.....

please see this, first event is selection of the test series from droplist.
like 2008-A,,,, then this StudentID should be autogenerates by clubbing
EventID and RegdID togather, where regdid is not shown in the form but is
seen only in conjugation with eventid in the studentid to produce unique
student like "2008-A-1001" onwards
