Hi,
I need to write a script, running which i can duplicate a modem
configuration availablem, over to another port. How can I do it?

TIA.

Windows XP is a Plug and Play OS. It needs to detect a modem on the "other"
COM port before it will configure it. This also causes XP to not detect any
external modems if they are not connected/powered on before XP starts up.

I understand that completely. What is happening is when my experimental
modem gets stuck in between, the network settings removes the modem
from the list and when i reconnect the modem, though it gets listed in
the list of modems; it doesnot appear in the network connections. So I
have to manually remove the modem and re-add it.

All I was asking was, if there is some automated way of creating a
modem configuration (with modem connected and working) automatically
using some script.

TIA.
