Hi - I am trying to create a document for 800 difference individuals. The
content of the document is the same for each person, but the name and some
other information varies per person. How can I do this? thanks

Are you creating the document to send to 800 people (mail merge - see
http://www.gmayor.com/mail_merge_labels_with_word_xp.htm or
http://www.gmayor.com/merge_labels_with_word_2007.htm ) or are you
creaeting a document template that 800 people can use, in which case
investigate Autotext fields, IncludeText fields, document properties and the
use of ini files to store user data.

Thank you sofor your response!! I am creating a evaluation booklet for a
conference. What I need to do is create an evaluation sheet for each
speaker. Each evaluation will have fixed content, but at the top of the
page I need to import specific information that I have in an excel
spreadsheet: name, title of presentation, etc.

In that case it's mail merge - the rudiments of which you will find in the
link I posted earlier.
