automating/shortcutting

every day I log on to the NYTimes crossword page and
download and print the crossword. This requires many
mouse clicks. Is there a way to write a simple program
that would automate this process so that one command
would take care of it? I am a home user without much
technical knowledge, but not scared of trying ... Where
would I look to get started? ?

Rather than learn the intricacies of programming, you may want to try
EZMacros. It works like magic. You can do your whole routine to download the
crossword, and this program will REMEMBER everything, even mouse movements.
I found the program on the Web, searching for "Windows XP macros." It is
shareware, not sure if you eventually have to pay or not. You can use it for
many tedious tasks, when you start to think about it. I've got it
bookmarked, myself.
And, if you are uncertain, just post to this group. Someone will have
something to say about EZMacros, I'm sure.
