AUTOMATICALLY UPDATING SAVEDATE

I have inserted savedate field as a means to control
versions. Word does not update this field in real time ,
it requires a manual update via f9. is there a way to RT
update the field ?

Hi dennis

Fields don't update automatically. But date fields will update when you do
print preview. And, make sure that you have ticked the box at Tools >
Options > Print > Update Fields.
