automatically two spaces after each sentence typed

I did it . . . but forgot how. How can one change a document from showing
one space after each sentence to showing two spaces after each sentence?

There is no way to *automatically* do this apart from pressing the space bar
twice. In any case this is a throwback to the days of the typewriter and
monospaced fonts and is unnecessary with proportionally spaced fonts. If you
insist, you can always use search and replace to make the change.

You can set Grammar Check to mark one space between sentences as an
error. On the Tools menu, click Options. Click the Spelling & Grammar
tab. Click Settings, and then specify 2 for "Spaces required between
sentences."
