Automatically run a batch file at shutdown ?

I am looking for a way to automatically have .bat file executed at
each shutdown or session close, preferably not by using the Windows
scheduler.

An application called PowerPro can trap the shutdown (or any window) on
startup, execute your batch file, then allow shutdown to continue.

Or, if your OS is Windows2000 (or probably XP) you can set shutdown and
startup actions in the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc).
