Automatically logon to Exchange

R

Rocko Baldino

Every time I start Outlook I have to type username/domain/password.
How can I avoid this? I am using XP home Office 97 and Exchange 97 on an NT4
server. XP logs on with the same username as is used for Exchange.

Can I maybe (as a last resort) add startup-parameters to my Outlook
shortcut?

Thanks,

Rocko

Upgrade to XP Pro and make your machine a member of the domain. That
would solve it.

You could check in Outlook under Tools | Services (if I recall
correctly) and make sure that your Exchange Service security is set to
use your NT authentication.

But I've never had good success with XP Home as a seamless client for
Exchange server in a domain.
