automatically getting data from another worksheet

Hi, I'm trying to create a template for a hockey pool. Here's what I
have. On the "players" sheet colum B I have the list of the hockey
players which were picked for the pool, colums D:AH is where I enter
the goals, assists, wins and shut-out for the players and colums AJ:AO
is the sums for goals, assists, wins, shut-out and points for every
player. Sheet 2 I have the pool members and below each member is a
header row with "players, goals, assists, wins, shut-out and points". I
would like to be able to enter the players name under "players"and have
excel extrack the "goals, assists, wins, shut-out and points" of that
player from sheet 1. Can anyone help?

this sounds like VLOOKUP.
e.g. to get column D from sheet 1 to B2 in sheet 2 enter the following
in B2 (A2 hast the players name)
=VLOOKUP(A2,'sheet1'!$B$1:$AH$100,3,0)
